ONLINE SHOPPING>>>

Online shopping is a virtual store whereby customers directly buy goods or services directly from the sellers over the internet. With commercialization of internet from the 90’s, online services have gained momentum recently with easier access to the internet. Approximately around 70,000 new websites are getting launched every hour leading to doubling of internet traffic every quarter during the year. In developing countries, consumers are spending a third of their cash online and is growing at a rapid pace, with consumers in nearly all countries spending a growing percentage of their income online. With globalization, people buy cross border goods, which provide an excellent opportunity for the marketers to exhibit overseas..

It is a challenge for the marketers to convert a potential buyer to purchase as it lacks compulsiveness from the customers. However one must find ways through various modes like television, radio, newspaper, events, newsletter, blogs, friends, social networking sites, reviews and regularly updating your site with quality content of the product and services and finally by Search Engine Optimization.

Online shopping has grown its popularity as it is convenient, informative, infinite choice, time saving and one can compare the prices, read reviews and no pressure sales. However, it is not holistic, lacks inspection, shipping, privacy and secured from frauds. Therefore, one must try publicly known sites, read review and ensure the physical address and company name before spending.

Stores have come into your drawing rooms and every purchase is just a click away…internet banking, credit cards have facilitated it, but with growing competitors each player has to be at the top of its game and come up with innovative ideas to sell, as most of their customers are online and must be in one of the networking sites so as to focus more on these platforms for advertising…And yes I do shop online…
